Light has consistently been a source of inspiration for my work since I was a young artist. Myth and religious stories served as immediate sources of connection to a sense of the unknown and the divine. This fascination with fantasy of the divine flourished since my childhood with a Catholic upbringing. 2020 marked a point where artists like Georges Mathieu (and the concept of lyrical abstraction), the concept of chaos theory, and increased curiosity with physics greatly inspired my work. This body of work married concepts of science and spirituality in the attempt to touch and understand the unknown through the acknowledgement of story telling and the chaotic patterns of reality we have yet to fully comprehend.
